Sandcastle Molds for Clay

Take the skills you learned at the beach, and use them to produce soft-slab clay sculptures or wall hangings. You will learn the method of sandcastle molding and create abstract or figurative forms. You will learn how to join modules to create more complex shapes and use clay additions and alterations to add interest. ESSA will bisque fire your work for a fee of $5 per piece.

About Instructors
Elby Mann
Elby (Eureka Springs, AR) started making wheel-thrown pottery over 40 years ago. His abstract and figurative sculpture has evolved to include a wide variety of hand-building techniques, as well as electronic lights and sound. Elby has extensive experience teaching scientific and technical subjects in public schools and colleges.
